Cheeky Nottingham Trip.

So yesterday college told us that today was going to be a training day, so as fashion students we all decided day off means shopping day!

We went on the train this morning at 10 and got home at 5 so it's been a long shopping day and my feet are killing, especially as I've worn my Swedish Hasbeens! And it's been so warm today! I didn't have to wear tights or a jacket!

To be honest there wasn't really much that I liked in most of the shops, which was a bit disappointing. But I'm really happy with the things I did get which makes me happy.

I bought a cute little stripy crop top from Zara which will be great for a casual summer outfit. The skirt I've had my eye on for a couple of weeks and today I couldn't resist buying it! I love it so much, it's so folky and boho, the top gives it a Spanish feel to the outfit, which is a summer look that I really love. Off the shoulder tops are great for summer!

Love this pattern!

Skort.

It was my friend Alex's birthday yesterday so I thought I would share what I wore to her party with you. I bought this skort a couple of weeks ago and its really comfy, it's a soft, stretchy fabric and was a really good price! (£13 from Ark) I had been looking at skorts for a while but hadn't found a pattern I liked as much as this one, the monochrome gingham is a print I'm loving at the moment. I wore it with a simple black cami from Topshop, tights and my chunky heels from Primark.

With the Birthday Girl! (Alex's playsuit was from Ark too, it was really cute!)

I also did Alex& Sue's make up last night, here's a photo I posted on my Instagram-

Partyyyyy Attire.

So it was Jodie's birthday yesterday and her party last night so I thought I'd share mine and Sue's outfits for the night with you! My outfit was I would say Morticia Addams based with a little Satin, Moulin Rouge laceyness. With my obvious pink colour pop! I loved Sues sexy little dress! Looked so good on her lovely figure.

My cami is from Topshop worn with my Dita Von Teese bra underneath to give a laced edge effect, my skirt is Forever 21 & shoes are Primark. Sue's dress is from Bank and shoes from New Look.

Mother's Day...

(sorry this is so late)
So was at work for Mother's Day today so I didn't get to spend much time with my mummy. But I did try to still make it special by making her an 'afternoon tea' with scones and a Bakewell tart which we had for breakfast. I bought her some of her favourite flowers from her favourite florist, the planter that she saw from my work that she liked& some Resse's Peanut Butter Cups because she loves peanut butter!

My mum is such a beautiful woman, she's so inspirational and she is my role model. I feel I can be myself around my mum which a lot of teenagers feel they can't be, which I find a bit sad but I guess everyone's different and some people can't just click with their mums.

So while mum was out last night me and Will made the scones and Bakewell tart (even if it did take 2 attempts on the scones as the first ones we made with plain flour!) mum and dad went out with their friends. And I guess this is a little bit of a post to show as my mother would say 'how to dress sassy for a mature lady'. I love her new trousers, they are very slimming and have a great look to them, her French Connection blouse gives them a classy dressed up look. To finish this look mum linked up her accessories through leopard print, the balance was just right as any more would have looked too much.

For her makeup I used the Naked 2 palette, and Benefits 'how to look good at everything' set in 'light', Illamasqua eyebrow cake and eyeliner.

I love you mum!

Pinkness Of The Day.

Me and Will went to Nottingham shopping today, basically a chance for me to drag Will round all the shops I like while he holds all my stuff. I really loved today's outfit so I'm sharing a few photos with you lovely people. I took these photos after shopping as I didn't have time this morning so I look a little more messy than at the beginning of the day! I wanted these photos to be a little bit more 'fun' as I don't take what I wear too seriously so I don't think you should take me too seriously either!
I wore this outfit with my pink ASOS Molly shoes and my Dorothy Perkins Leather Biker Jacket.

This is a full circle skirt that I'm wearing, it was my mamma's friends underskirt for her wedding which she tried to dye red but it went pink. It's too long for me so I pull it up as if it was a dress and put a black vintage style belt on to give it a waist.

spinning around...

I finished this look with my cropped Topshop jumper, Irregular Choice bag & Vivienne Westwood Jewellery.

I will be doing a 'haul post' on what I bought today to follow this one...

Tea-Shirt.

ITonight we went out for Lauren's birthday and I wore my new Doc Martens tea-shirt. I wore it with my topshop snake skin leather front skirt and black wedges and of course my goregous Viv bag. Mum had blow dried my hair and put sleep in rollers in it, and I used some of my favourite make up bits and pieces. I used Illamasqua skin base foundation, precision gel liner, mascara, eyebrow cake and hydro viel, I also used the new baby skin primer from maybelline, a Dior palette with blues in and my new ysl lipstick in shade 01 and lip liner in shade 19.

Outfit, Hair & Makeup of the day!

So I'm quite liking todays outfit, and hair, and makeup. I was going to do a little picture tutorial on how I did the makeup but the photos came out pretty bad so I'm not posting them. Today's dress is my lovely Topshop autumny flowery dress, which I think is a bit 1950's tea dress-ish. I've also used a different foundation today which is Urban Decay's Naked Foundation (got a free sample so thought I'd give it a go) its a really nice foundation, it's quite watery yet gives a flawless natural finish. I used my Illamasqua eyeliner gel and brush to do my eyeliner flicks again, I can't believe how much easier using an angled brush and gel is to using a pen! Anyway here's some photos!

New Playsuit!

I fell in love with this playsuit in Ark the other week but held off from buying it for some strange reason, after days of dreaming of it I finally got my friend who works there to get it for me. It's so comfy but also looks great on! I wore it to a meal the other night and dressed it up with black tights& black wedge ankle boots(& of course good hair and makeup!) I love the pattern and the shape of the playsuit. Here's a few photos...

(Only down side to it was the toilet issue as it has a zip all the way up the back and buttons which is difficult to undo yourself!)

Mini Outfit Of The Day Post.

Today me and mum went to Belper for dinner and a walk round. So because it was a nice morning mother took some photos of me in the garden. Pretty simple outfit for today; just a nice blouse, skirt and brogues.

Skirt and Blouse from New Look, Shoes from H! By Henry Holland, Socks from Dorothy Perkins.
