HAPPY 2015 TO ALL!

Hello lovely blog readers, first of all apologies that it seemed like I'd fell off the face of the earth, not been very motivated to blog! But 2015 brings a new start and hopefully I'll get back into posting more regularly, and most likely more posts showing my college projects.

Anyway, I thought I'd show you what I wore for my New Years Eve party!

My dress was from topshop in the sale, it was unbelievably sparkly! Hopefully will post some better ones from my camera another day!

Thanks for reading!

Festival Prep.

I am totally loving all the festival styles around at the minute, especially all the tassels! So I couldn't resist when I saw this gorgeous top in new look! I've styled it with my new black shorts I got from river island, which I also bought in pastel blue as they were both in the sale and it was only £25 for both! How could I not?! I also wore my kimono and tassely bag with it just to give my festival look a tassely overload, and my favourite flowery headband.

As much as I'm totally in love with this top, I would not recommend anyone to buy this top as it's dry clean only which I only found out after washing when it was completely destroyed! It's a £17.99 cotton top, it's ridiculous that it's dry clean only, I'm so disappointed. Only got to wear it once in it's full glory and now sat cutting the tassels off.

The Anti-Prom Queen.

Friday night was the night of my best friend Beth's prom, but after thinking the pros and cons of prom she had decided not to go. But she still wanted to get dressed up and go out so we went out for a really fancy meal at Stones in Matlock. Which was a really lovely night, after getting through all the hectic 'prom transport traffic' there was some real 'out there' ways this year!

I found with prom that the best bit of prom was the getting ready so we got ready together and I did her hair and make up, well make up we did together as Beth likes to wear more than me! Bethany looked absolutely beautiful! We went up to the market to see her friends and get some photos, sadly it was raining so we didn't get to see most peoples dresses or get many photos.

Although what Beth wore for anti-prom was simple, she still looked glamorous and obviously like a princess which is always the aim! She also wore my gorgeous flower crown from @stephanieeveraftercrowns which is now the official anti-prom queen crown!

Here's a few photos of the official anti-prom queen...

Thanks for viewing my lovelies! Have you had your prom this year? Leave me links in the comments and i'll check out your posts!xo

Summer Nights.

Sorry about not posting much recently but I just keep forgetting to get round to it, plus it's the end of my first college year so it's all been a bit mad.

The other day we were all sent home early from college so the second years could get more of their work done, well we were sent to do 'independent work' which of course I did, we're doing pop art at the minute but I'll do a post on that another time! So when we'd done that me and Elena went to Meadowhall. I got a couple of goodies from the Victoria's Secret sale, all which are fabulous, and a playsuit from Miss Selfrige.

I wore the new playsuit on Saturday for a party at Jodie's (go to vveallstartasstrangers.blogspot.co.uk for pictures of the night) I really love how I styled it too, I clashed the clean polka dot print with my floral kimono and some chunky heels. Here's some photos-

Monochrome.

Last week I had a party with my friends because we were off school which gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my white jeans!

Me and my best friend had been shopping on Wednesday looking for something to wear for the party but none of shops in Nottingham had anything I liked and if they did they didn't have my size! Useless! We ended up going to derby as well seeing as Nottingham was rubbish, they didn't have anything either!

When we were in Nottingham we went to MAC and had false eyelashes put on, I really loved them but the staff in MAC were horrible, to be honest most of the sales assistant that day were! What ever happened to manners?

All I ended up with was some fabric I needed from Hyson Green Market, eyelashes, a make up sponge and some much needed new black converse!

So for the party I wore my white jeans from ASOS, my halter crop from Missguided, and my chunky heels from Primark. I felt really comfortable!

I did my makeup quite dramatic, the eyelashes pushed me seeing as they made my eyes look bigger, so I used my urban decay 'NAKED 2' pallete, with some Illamasqua pigment for my eyes with my YSL liner, my new foundation 'heathy mix gel serum' by Bourjois, Illamasqua eyebrow cake in 'Thunder' for dark angled brows. To add a slight contour I used my MAC illuminating powder in 'Perfect Topping' and Bare Minerals bronzer. To finish the look I added MAC's 'Creme Cup' lipstick for pale pink lips.

DIY Halter Band Tee.

Sorry about the lack of blogging recently, been rather busy! But hey I've had a great busy day at college, working on my 'Armoured Trousers' project, I'll try and get some photos of them soon to show you guys and maybe photograph my sketchbook! So it's like 5 weeks till the end of year fashion show so hopefully everything will be done by then!

Anyway that's all off subject for this post! Well kind of sewing all day put me in the mood to be creative at home too! So I found out an old top I never wear any more and started cutting! I'm in love with halter tops at the moment (& will hopefully get round to doing a post on my recent buys!) and of course the Sex Pistols, so I thought I could create a way that I could re-make this top to something more wearable!

Really I should have taken photos before and after and during the process but I didn't really know what i was doing until it was done, so I took some photos of another top trying to show you...

Here's what I did:

Step 1: Lay the top out on a flat surface, then fold it length ways in half

Step 2: Cut the armholes out (this is something I had to re-do later on)

Step 3: Cut along the top in a straight line

Step 4: If you want it to be cropped cut off a section of the bottom

Step 5: Seam some(or all) edges, leaving enough space to thread some ribbon through the halter area

Step 6: Thread some ribbon/ string/ anything and you're good to go!

Here's mine!

Let me know what you think of this type of DIY post?
