Nottingham Haul.

So I got some pretty fab things today, some could say I went a little over board with the gingham, but those people would be wrong.

These shorts are from the vintage shop WILD in Nottingham, they are so cute on! They caught my eye because of the adorable little pink stripes in the pattern! I've seen quite a few shops doing this style shorts for this season and I love being able to get on trend stuff at a much lower price!
The sunglasses are also from WILD, I spotted them while paying and just had to have them! The pink on them looks great with my hair.

I've been looking for a skort for agessss, but never found one I liked enough to buy! I got this one from Ark for the tiny price of £12.99! I loved the pattern and the fit is pretty good although the sizing on the labels was awful!

Praise the Lord- Hallelujah! Finally a pair of proper high waisted shorts! These little beauties are from Topshop £30.Most shorts which say they are 'high waisted' are normally to your natural waist which is above your hip bones as we were told by one of our tutors yesterday. These sit on my waist which is the fit i want! They are a little roomy on the back of the waist but I expect that as to fit my hips and bum.

I always walk past 'Beautiful U Hair & Beauty' when I go to Nottingham and see the 2 pots of Directions for £5 and now my hair is finally pink again I went and used this great offer! I wanted to get some Manic Panic too but its so expensive to buy in shops so I'm going to have a look online instead. These two colours are on the left 'Cerise' and on the right 'Flamingo Pink'.

And finally my new beauty...

For Christmas my friend Hannah got me a £20 Vivienne Westwood voucher as I love all things Viv, and today I finally spent it! I bought this gorgeous little bracelet. I've been looking at getting a Viv bracelet for a while and only wanted a simple one, although today I was drawn in by her Harp range but went for a more classic one instead.

Pinkness Of The Day.

Me and Will went to Nottingham shopping today, basically a chance for me to drag Will round all the shops I like while he holds all my stuff. I really loved today's outfit so I'm sharing a few photos with you lovely people. I took these photos after shopping as I didn't have time this morning so I look a little more messy than at the beginning of the day! I wanted these photos to be a little bit more 'fun' as I don't take what I wear too seriously so I don't think you should take me too seriously either!
I wore this outfit with my pink ASOS Molly shoes and my Dorothy Perkins Leather Biker Jacket.

This is a full circle skirt that I'm wearing, it was my mamma's friends underskirt for her wedding which she tried to dye red but it went pink. It's too long for me so I pull it up as if it was a dress and put a black vintage style belt on to give it a waist.

spinning around...

I finished this look with my cropped Topshop jumper, Irregular Choice bag & Vivienne Westwood Jewellery.

I will be doing a 'haul post' on what I bought today to follow this one...

Pink Hair Maintenance...

A lot of people will think having pink hair or any brightly coloured hair that it will last a few washes, with me and most people- that's not the case. It will fade very fast! Even on bleached hair, if you're wanting it to fade to a pastel tone make sure you have white coloured hair first as if there's a yellow tone it will go a pretty bad colour. With my hair having to be bleached it is pretty damaged so keeping it in good condition is essential.

So here are my top tips for maintaining brightly coloured hair& keeping it in good condition:
1. Wash it with cold water.
2. Mix a small amount of dye in to a conditioner, leave this on for around 10 minutes. (I mix 'rose red' with conditioner to achieve my pink)
3. Use dry shampoo instead of washing hair! I only wash my hair once a week, which sounds bad but try to do different styles and regularly dry shampoo!
4. Try not to use hot styling appliances (straighteners, curling irons) I use rollers on wet hair to achieve curls.
5. Use shine spray to achieve a shine as bleached hair is very dry and can lack shine.

This is Monday's hair style, this style used no backcombing. Try to avoid backcombing is also better for your hair, as bleached hair can easily brake off.

My front roll went really today too- score! Still getting used to the brightness, but i'm loving how it brightens up every outfit!

Goodbye Normal...

So since getting my directions hair dyes from the Blue Banana competition I've been itching to use them! So today's the day! Seeing people like 'Diablo Rose' on my Facebook timeline made me want to go for the plunge! I've kept saying I want my hair like hers, and just wanting to be bright for spring! I've kept it a surprise and hadn't told anyone all day as it's wills party tonight and no one will know! Not even Will knew!

So I went up to mums hairdresser's and had 2 hairdressers bleaching my hair in foil sections, this alone took over an hour to put in! I have really thick hair even though it's shorter now it takes agesssss! I basically had a whole roll of foil on my head! Every peice of hair was in foil, and your head gets very hot in foils!

I used Directions in 'cerise' for the dark area in my fringe, and a mix of 'flamingo pink' and 'carnation pink' on the rest. The brightness comes from the 'carnation pink' when we top it up we're going to use just 'flamingo' as it's a little bit more wearable and not quite as bright. But I am totally in love with it! I feel so tropical! I had my hair set too which looked awesome with the pink!

The No Makeup Selfie.

Loads of people on Facebook are getting involved and it's great because it's all for a great cause! It is not only being used to spread  awareness of breast cancer and what to check for but Cancer Research UK have also got involved and have raised over £1 million with the #nomakeupselfie! I was 'nominated' today by my cousin and one of my best friends.

Cancer has affected so many peoples lives, not only those with cancer but the family and friends of those who have cancer or who have died from it. Anyway to raise money to try to find a cure is worth doing, even if it's just doing the no makeup selfie and simply texting 'beat' to 70099 to donate £3 to Cancer Research UK. 'Together we will beat cancer.'

Boujois Rouge Edition 10

So today I've tried out my new lipstick. It's a really creamy feel on, the colour is really vivid and it's lasted really well this morning. It doesn't feel too heavy on either which is really nice, some red lipsticks go bobbly when you top it up but this one hasn't which is a win in my books! Would totally recommend this colour! Only downside is I thought it would be a little more orange coloured but I do love the colour!

Oops I Did It Again

So I was scrolling through the asos website last night and found some fabulous bits and bobs that I felt I needed, so I ordered them tonight! After falling in love with my cigarette pants I felt I needed a bit of variation so I've ordered a floral pair and I've been looking atasymmetrical skirts and skirts for a while and found a little beauty that had been reduced! So here are my latest buys! I'll let you know what they're like when they get here!

Think I might have to order a pair of these ones too!

Get Colourful!

Me and motherbear went out tonight so I thought I would share tonight's outfit with you lovely people! I've felt I've been wearing a lot of monochrome lately and with working all weekend where I wear black, so I needed to have some colour! So I went with the best amount of colour I could with my favourite maxi skirt! I matched this with my black topshop cami, Swedish Hasbeens, primark tassel bag and forever 21 necklace. I also wore my new Revlon ColourBurst Lip Balm for the subtle matte colour, it was really well lasting and felt lovely on. We went out for Wagamamas but mine wasn't nice, so mummy took me to Eds where I had pancakes which were fabulous.

Revlon& Boujois Reviews.

The 3 for 2 poster at boots dragged me in today, I have a serious makeup buying problem and the thought of getting some free just made it worse! I try to justify buying too much makeup on the fact that I'm a blogger and I share new things with you lovely readers! Not convinced? Yeah me either! But the offer did give me a chance to finally buy the Revlon ColourBust Balm I've been umming and ahhing over for a while! So I bought Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balm in 205, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 040 and Bourjois Rouge Edition in 10.

Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balm in 205 £7.99

The first thing I thought when I took the lid off this was ahh minty, its scented and I love that! On the lips it doesn't feel too heavy and it gives a lovely matte finish and is very colour true to the packaging. I love the packaging of this too as it texture of the 'stick' is matte, its very handy and easy to apply.

Bourjois Rouge Edition in 10
£7.99

I chose this colour as it was the nicest orange tinged red that I could find and I've never tried Boujouis makeup before so I thought why not? As a swatch I can see the orange tone very well but haven't tried it on properly yet so not sure how it will look on my lips, especially with my pale skin. I like this packaging too although the pink and red colour clash wording lets it down a little.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 040
£7.99

This balm is also mint scented, but don't be fooled by the bright orange packaging it really isn't this colour! On the lips it gives a subtle orange tinge that on my lips appears a coral colour. It feels very light weight and nourishing. Packaging again is a great size and design.

You can see by these swatches the different intensities

Monochrome with a Pastel Pop!

So today is a lovely spring day so I had a little walk up town, I didn't feel like wearing all black today but it wasn't quite warm enough for a full spring wardrobe so I wore my cigarette pants, wedges and leather jacket with my pastel blue jumper. I love this combo! Its just the right amount of colour without looking too matchy matchy. Plus I even got to wear my sunglasses today! Yay sunshine!
