Get Colourful!

Me and motherbear went out tonight so I thought I would share tonight's outfit with you lovely people! I've felt I've been wearing a lot of monochrome lately and with working all weekend where I wear black, so I needed to have some colour! So I went with the best amount of colour I could with my favourite maxi skirt! I matched this with my black topshop cami, Swedish Hasbeens, primark tassel bag and forever 21 necklace. I also wore my new Revlon ColourBurst Lip Balm for the subtle matte colour, it was really well lasting and felt lovely on. We went out for Wagamamas but mine wasn't nice, so mummy took me to Eds where I had pancakes which were fabulous.

Cami- Topshop
Necklace- Forever 21

Birmingham.

On Saturday I went to Birmingham with sue, we went especially to see the Illamasqua 'drop in masterclass' which sadly I wasn't too impressed with but we did get to do some shopping! I bought a 'setting powder' which is like an illuminating power from MAC in their current collection in the colour 'perfect topping' as I've started to do a slight contour in my makeup and wanted something to brighten up my cheeks a little. I've got to say I was a little disappointed in Forever 21 this time, although I did end up buying a midi summer dress and a necklace. There just didn't seem to be much spring clothes in, it seemed very jumbled and a little tacky sadly. I got a cute dress in the Zara sale for £13, I call it my Wednesday dress as it's a little bit Wednesday Addams. Lastly I bought some underwear from Ann Summers as we spotted they had an offer on Knickerbox bras 2 for £25, bargain! The pants were on 2 for £12 too and when you spent £50 you got £10 off! Talk about your savings! Of course we bought some Krispy Kremes too!

The Fashion Sketchpad

I have something really cool to show you which I've had a while but never posted before, sounds boring to some but its a sketch book. Not an ordinary sketch book though one specifically designed for designing clothes. It has some pages in the front some explanation pages, a 'garment encyclopaedia', 'textile glossary', 'industry terms',  recommended reading sites and the rest is filled with 420 croquis. Another fabulous thing about it is when you photograph or scan your designs the body outlines disappear! This amazing book was created by www.thefashionsketchpad.com and you can get it on amazon for under £10! Which its definitely worth! I got mine as a present from a lovely lady called Alison.

Here's some photos!

The front is simple with little shiny silver dots all over and a 'designs by:' space for your name

The image below will take you to the book on amazon.

Godmother's Birthday.

So yesterday was my Godmothers birthday party, we had a lovely afternoon eating homemade bread and drinking vodka cocktails. For her little present from me I made her some bunting just 3 double sided triangles on ribbon, she's not one for bright colours or anything too fussy. So I used a lovely grey fabric that I got from ikea a while ago. (made a top with it, shown here) I was quite happy with it even if I did have a little battle with my sewing machine! But she loved it, here's some photos of the finished product!

Also here's a cheeky shot of what I wore yesterday, wore my Tokyo Doll dress for the first time! Got it last year but never worn it, has a gorgeous open back and is about mid shin length.
